We are excited to announce a special 4-week class focused on nerikomi, the art of combining colored clay into stacks, swirls, and other unique compositions. This class is for ceramicists of any level.

General lesson plan:​

Week 1:  Coloring the clay using mason stains, how to marble and layer for different effects, and making color blocks.

Week 2: Learn the process of cutting/building. Build vessels out of slabs/molding slabs/kurinuki cuts.  

Week 3: Finishing up vessel shapes and preparing for first firing.

Week 4: Sanding and glazing for final firing.
