Handbuilding for the Table - Sundays

Service Description

Ages 18+ Just in time for the holidays, this fun and relaxed ceramics class invites you to create beautiful, functional pieces for your home or to give as meaningful, handmade gifts. Over 5 weeks, you’ll learn a variety of handbuilding techniques including slab, pinch, coil, and simple slump molds. You’ll be introduced to foundational forms and then encouraged to explore your own creative ideas. Projects might include things like butter dishes, serving platters, spoon rests, candle holders, napkin rings, or small vases, anything to add a handmade touch to your table or holiday celebrations. Each session begins with a short demo, followed by studio time with plenty of one-on-one instruction as needed. Basic surface decorating and glazing techniques will also be covered to help bring your personal touch to every piece. This class is taught by Simone, our new hand building instructor, bringing fresh energy, creative curiosity, and a love for functional, expressive design.
